Objectives

  1. To ensure that patients brought by the various pre-hospital services arrive in the Emergency. Department in as stable a condition as possible
  2. Tn develop protocols for the emergency treatment of patients in the pre-hmspital environment.
  3. To establish networking system and good working relationship between SGH, Depaptment Of Emergency Medicine and those parties involved in pre-hospital care of patients ie. Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), Major Private Ambulance Services ie. Heng Gref, St John and Red Cross Ambulances Services.
  4. To conduct research into the field of pre-hospital emergency medicine.
  5. To conduct continuing education for all personnel involved in pre-hospital emergency medical care.
